splaash was born from the idea of designing a restaurant beneath the water’s surface. Its name reflects that vision, and the entire concept evolved from it.

The renovation began in a former fishmonger’s shop located slightly below street level. The descent via steps sets the tone—subtly telling the story of going “under.”

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a ceiling clad in rippled metal sheets. Built-in LED strips run along the walls and meet the ceiling, creating a refracted light effect that immediately evokes the sensation of being underwater.

A cave-like underwater atmosphere envelops the space, anchored by a bespoke counter crafted from blue-tinted ash wood with a Verde Alpi Laminam top. Flowing coral-colored curtains frame the space, guiding guests toward one of two distinct dining areas.

Custom-made benches, blue ash wood wall paneling, and textured finishes on the walls and ceiling are softly illuminated by bubble-inspired lights, chrome bulbs, and jellyfish-like lamps—each element enhancing the immersive, aquatic ambiance.

The bar shelving draws inspiration from the side of a wooden ship, as if glimpsed while swimming beside it.

Across the room, a structural challenge—the staircase—was transformed into a striking design feature. It was wrapped in matching wall paneling and accented with a rounded ripple metal detail, seamlessly continuing the underwater narrative.
